Monitoring and ex-post analyses
Monitoring and ex-post analyses are important to check the impact of measures taken. They enable the identification and analyses of changes and development in energy consumption and emissions. With energy models, the changes in the consumption sectors can be assigned to the developments of the most important influencing factors (such as weather conditions, production, energy reference areas, population, technology and politics, as well as substitutions). For sectoral ex-post analyses (i.e. private households, industry, services, agriculture and transport), specific bottom-up models are used, which were developed in the framework of the energy perspectives for the SFOE. We at TEP Energy focus on the two sectors services and agriculture, but we also work with partners for cross-sector analyses.
