REFLEX: TEP Energy at the REFLEX-Workshop
REFLEX is a European research project that investigates the role of demand and supply side flexibilities in the European energy system.
The workshop "Technological Learning" aims to advance the learning curve topic on a methodical as well as on a data provision point of view, involving various research groups and experts. Ulrich Reiter's and Martin Jakob's contributions focus on demand-side technologies and efficiency measures:
Flexibility is important, as the share of renewable energies in use has to increase, according to the objective of most countries. However, the largest sources of energy, namely wind and sun, are dependent on weather for a steady supply and can therefore fluctuate greatly.
